Dry Clean Only

February 2, 2018

Picture this... you have spend hours scouring the internet for your perfect outfit for that night out, you've found it!

The dress/top/jumpsuit that is 'the one', it will make you feel confident, stylish & sassy.

You wear it for the first time and you get all the compliments all night, you're feeling great.  Best get it washed and hung up ready for its next outing, what do you do?  Bung in in the washing machine on a hot wash with the bed sheets or with hubbys muddy football kit?  Of course not!! You check the washing instructions and follow them to a T to make sure its pristine - even if it is dry clean only!  So what is different with your hair?

Your hair is your biggest fashion accessory, you wear it everyday, if its looking good it makes you feel confident, sassy and gorgeous.  We invest time and money into getting the perfect shape cut in and the perfect colour and tone, we spend money on the latest Dyson dryer or the best ghd's to get a sleek finish.  And then we wash it with a generic high street shampoo and conditioner, because, its really just all the same and professional products are just a bit pricey, right?  Wrong!!!!

When your stylist is spending all that time getting your colour to that exact shade you love and they are talking to you about what products would be good on your hair, they are trying to help you maintain the investment you've made in getting to that perfect colour, they want you to get the most out of it and they want their work of art to be admired for weeks after!  Yes, its true a professional shampoo is a little more expensive than one from Boots, but, it is highly concentrated, so for example from a 300ml Redken shampoo, £15 you can expect to get up to 65 washes (hair length dependant), that works out to just 23p a wash! Your stylist will advise you how much to use, how to apply it and how often to enable you to get the best value out of your product and also the best out of your hair.  It will be specific to your hair needs at that time, whether its to prolong your colour, add some strength, or a mixture you can get the perfect haircare to keep your style looking pristine.  If you can only allow for one product in your budget, ask which would be the best option for you and your needs.  We will advise you as best we can.  Remember, your hair is the crown you never take off, so keep it polished!
